The Employment Law Unit provides a wide range of employment-related advice on both contentious and non-contentious issues, including unfair dismissal, redundancy, transfer of undertakings (TUPE) and contracts of employment.
The Employment Unit is headed up by David Whyte, our accredited Employment Law specialist.
The Unit has extensive experience gained through advising on a range of issues, including advice given in relation to the recent closure of Continental Tyres' factory in Newbridge; Scottish Higher Education Funding Council investigation of financial irregularities at Glasgow Caledonian University; a similar investigation by the Scottish Further Education Funding Council at Moray College, Elgin; and in relation to the TUPE transfer implications of the merger between Hutcheson's Grammar and Laurel Park Schools, Glasgow.
